Honey I'm home    SOLD OUT

Mothers' Union gives families in developing countries training in bee-keeping and mushroom-growing, so they can start small businesses trading the honey and mushrooms they produce. They can then build up a steady income for their families, making their homes financially secure and happy places where they can raise their children free of poverty. Home really is sweet home.

Baby love    £13.00

Mothers' Union helps new parents, grandmother care-givers, and home-based carers to care for and nurture babies and toddlers. We equip care homes for looked-after children, teach mothers about childcare and nutrition, train community-based women in maternity and early-years care giving, and run parent and toddler groups across widely diverse communities and countries. Give baby love - a little love to a little one.

Glorious food   £19.00

Food and family go together. So combating malnutrition is crucial to much of Mothers' Union's work. This gift will feed families facing adversity through our emergency relief aid, train parents and communities about health and provision, and enable food production for families in developing countries... now that's glorious food.

Always having bright ideas?    £29.00

This is the gift for the activist in your life - always caring about something, having another sparky idea, campaigning for something or dreaming new dreams. Ideas, hopes and faith anchor all Mothers' Union work. We are constantly running local gatherings to develop community-changing ideas. Strengthening relationships, empowering people to lobby their government, retreats to explore faith, interfaith dialogues: talking the talk really is walking the walk. Go on, think big.

Cow know-how    £38.00

Cow know-how is knowledge and training in our Family Life Programme which we run across much of Uganda. People learn about grazing techniques, using manure efficiently, and marketing their produce. They set up small savings schemes and start buying and rearing their own livestock, working their way up from chickens to their first cow.

A stitch in time    £100.00

A stitch in time saves lives! Mothers' Union used to have a bit of a stereotype of lots of knitting and embroidery, and we're proud to say it's still part of the fabric (excuse the pun) - and a formidable empowerment tool at the grassroots. Give the gift of vocational training in setting up tailoring and sewing businesses, to women and girls in countries where there's hardly any secondary school education. Sew a bit of hope.
